Together We Give — The Cabinet Salon’s Annual Holiday Food Drive

As we step into the holiday season, our focus at The Cabinet Salon is not only on beautiful hair but on giving back to our local community. We are proud to once again be hosting our annual Holiday Food Drive in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank, an organization working tirelessly to fight hunger and advocate for long-term solutions across Toronto.

Why This Matters More Than Ever

Food insecurity continues to rise at an unprecedented rate in our city. According to Daily Bread’s latest report, Toronto saw more than 4.1 million food-bank visits in the past year, a 340 percent increase since 2019. More than 1 in 10 Torontonians now rely on food banks.

These numbers are staggering, but they also show why efforts like this matter. When we come together as a community, even a single donation can make a meaningful difference.

Most-Needed Items From Daily Bread Food Bank

Daily Bread has shared a list of items they urgently need this season. If you are able to donate, these items help most:

Canned vegetables, especially tomatoes, whole, diced or crushed
Canned fruit
Canned fish such as tuna, salmon or sardines
Nut butter, peanut or almond
Oatmeal
Shelf-stable staples such as rice, pasta, lentils, chickpeas and beans

These items help Daily Bread create nutritious and reliable food boxes for individuals and families across Toronto.

How You Can Participate For Your Chance To Win

Bring a non-perishable food item to your appointment from November 18 to December 23.

Your donation makes you eligible to enter our annual holiday draw for a 500 dollar gift basket filled with favourite salon products, accessories and a gift card for services, our way of saying thank you for giving back.
